My pekin got attacked by a dog about a week and a half ago. She’s been on antibiotics and her wounds have been cleaned every day and had ointment prescribed by vet applied.

It’s been in the 70’s ever since she got attacked but I moved her outside s couple days ago for the first time since the attack and the temp dropped last night and it has been cold all day. She is shivering and refusing food and won’t quack. She’s drinking water but won’t eat anything, not even mealworms. Please help

Also- just ran her a bath to get her warmed up and her feathers were totally not waterproof. She sank like a stone

Stress possibly and sick birds need water more than feed..Plus a warm safe place to lay in that is a bit dark...
She was doing fine even the day she was attacked she was eating like normal and just today she won’t eat. When she warms up do you think she’ll start eating

Fingers crossed....Warm her up first in the house in a crate and then see if she can walk?...provide water and some lettuce or tomato to see how she does...

She has been on antibiotics, yes? That also can ruin their appetite. There could be more going on, sometimes more than one thing is wrong. I would take her to a vet. And start giving probiotics. Keeping her warm and dry and safe, try offering some treats. Sometimes ducks need to be tube fed. It can be a little tricky if you have never done it. casportpony has a thread on Team Tubefeeding you can find it in the archives. @casportpony

Get her inside where it's warm. 80-85 degrees is ideal for a sick duck. Once warm, offer warm water, after she drinks a little, offer her a warm mash.

Call your vet first thing in the morning.

It would also be very helpful if you could post a video of her. To post video you need to upload to youtube or vimeo than paste the link here.
