Hello BYC! So today I walked out to check on my ducks and noticed one of them was limping very badly. She’s putting almost no weight on her foot. I checked her over and didn’t see any broken toes, legs or bumble foot either. I don’t know what could be wrong with her. She has food and water during the day but doesn’t get water at night time because they spill it and then ruin their coop. I don’t know what could be causing this. Maybe she just hurt herself a little bit. I’m gonna see how it pans out in the next four days. If it doesn’t get better, I’m gonna take her to the vet.

Any ideas on how to help her? What do you think might be wrong with her? Thank you!
Sorry, I had to copy and paste this from another thread because nobody was replying to that one. I just wanted to put it at the top so people could see.😅

I would separate her and put her in a crate with food and water so she can rest. You can also do epsom salt soaks to help! I would let her rest for a few days and see how she is then. Keep a close eye on her to make sure no new symptoms develop!

First of all, you kept posting on your other thread - each time you do that, it shows that there are replies. Your other thread shows 2 replies! Often if there are "replies" on a thread, it gets overlooked.
Secondly, be patient. Not everyone is on all the time, they are tending to their own flocks, families, etc., just like you are, everyone takes time out of their day to voluntarily answer questions and help when they can.
Just Sayin'

Restrict her activity for a couple of days and make sure she can easily get to food/water.

Hopefully the leg is just sprained, but as you mentioned, if vet care is an option, having her seen is a good idea if she doesn't improve.

Ok thank you. I don’t know if I can separate her. One time I was holding her and I set her down and she started quaking very loudly because her friends weren’t there…😑

She seems to be getting better. She’s not limping as bad or holding her foot up anymore and she laid an egg last night.
