Did you wash out the wounds? if not you can use some warm water and some salt making a saline wash rinse the wounds real good let it dry they apply some kind of antibiotic ointment, tripe antibiotic or neomycin will be good just don't use anything with pain relief in it. . this is why I don't rec. duckling be kept with chickens. Sure hope your little one recovers and it most likely will they are pretty tough lil things. just keep the wounds clean and free of flies, flies bring maggots something you don't want, any other ducklings if so put them with this one for comfort just watch they don't mess with the wounds.or at least one other duckling

He needs to be indoors away from flies that is absolutely a must. Flies will lay eggs in open wounds. Don't let that happen.

He needs to be rinsed off gently. Do you have Vetericyn spray? That would be good. Or a mild saline solution.

How is he behaving? Acting shocky at all? Or still eating and drinking fine?

The worse spot I would put some antibiotic cream - not ointment, but cream so the air can get to it better on that spot.

And three times a day, a fresh lukewarm water bath. Followed by a spray with Vetericyn or saline, then ointment on the worse spots.

Keep him in, away from flies. You don't have to see them for them to be out.
