Brought home 8 guinnea chicks this weekend. Noticed one has an injured foot. Hopping around on one leg . Checked closely and does not appear to be broken. Crusty/scabby on bottom of foot. Scraped in off and treated with neoS. Still using the one leg and other chicks appear to be picking on it quite a bit. Noticed a couple of times others actually picking at that injured foot.

Any advice? Should I cull?

Do you think it's bumblefoot (google images of it and see if it looks like what your chick has)? Bumblefoot is caused by a staph infection getting inside a cut on the bottom of the foot. It's hard to get rid of but you did the right thing, cleaning it out (did you use hydrogen peroxide?) and packing with Neosporin. If you can wrap it with a bandage, even better, it will keep it clean and keep the other chicks from pecking at it.

How old are the chicks? I probably would not cull yet, but everyone is different. If they're picking on the hurt one, I'd separate the it until it heals at least enough so that it's not so obviously injured. Chickens can be very tough on each other and seem to have a way of their own of weeding out the weak and injured.
