injured girl

Update: she has really turned around. Standing up good. I took her outside with the rest of the girls and she’s walking around and was eating scratch grain. Still a bit wobbly. I have her in the pen but fenced off from the others. Does anyone trim the feathers back around their eyes so they can see better?
Thanks for all the advise
Jeff

I'm glad to hear that she's doing better 😊

Glad to hear she's doing better!

I'd follow @Granny Hatchet suggestion. Yes, some do trim feathers or place them in topnots.

Sometimes birds with feathers around the eyes like Polish and Silkies become weak due to not being about to see very well, once the feathers are trimmed or remedied somehow, the bird seems to recover remarkably well. Perhaps this is what's happened with your lovely girl, she was just dehydrated and hadn't been eating very well.
