Hello I am new here. I have a 2 week old gosling who got stepped on by his dad tonight and now can't stand up. He still has use of his legs but can't stand up. Not sure what's wrong any suggestions much appreciated.

I have two ducklings that I believe were stepped on by either a horse, or trampled by the duck flock. I confined them during the night with food and water, and let them out during the day, making sure they were by a water bowl. They are getting better after maybe a week of this simple treatment. I think time and confinement would be the best cures. Good luck!

Rest and no running around for a while but some Water therapy[ always stay close by so gosling can get in and out safely] .Water therapy will relieve pressure on the legs and back and help keep muscles working. If you can possibly use warm water that would be best.

Thankfully your gosling lived my gander accidentally stepped on a week old duckling a couple years ago and killed it.

Also maybe some poultry vitamins to boost system while recouping would be a good idea.

Welcome to BYC.
