Injured khaki Campbell

I have a khaki Campbell duckling that has a mound of stuck feathers it seems?

No clear answer on when problem started
If there's anything else I need to list I will, I have not talked to a vet yet as I don't know the severity of the problem yet.

Its a little mound of bunches up short feathers, base of the mound seems to be black, and around it it's a bit pinkish, I'm unsure how to link pictures to this thread but once I figure out I will

I think that's either the preen gland or an ingrown feather

If that is right above his tail, it is his oil or preen gland opening. I don’t think anything is wrong with it.

yes, it’s the oil gland, normal

The first time I saw an oil gland I freaked out thinking something had happened to one of my ducklings. It was such a relief to find out it was normal.
