My quail's leg got injured recently and it is refusing to eat. Her injury isn't that severe. There was no blood loss or such. I still took her to the vet. They wrapped her leg with tape prescribed some multi vitamins. I wrapped her feather with the tape as she hurt herself while trying to move around. 16250317122214752528946917941170.jpg I tried feeding her oats. She would only take 2 or three bites. I've been feeding her water every couple of hours. She was breathing with her mouth open until yesterday. I mixed some antibiotics in her water. And have been feeding the same to her. She is sleeping all the the time. What should I do to make her eat properly?

I'd try offering her regular feed. Oats is generally the last thing my birds eat.
She isn't touching her food or even water. She is sleeping a lot. And also she has a pasty butt. Her poop is like that of a white clay. Any help please.

She had a few millets just now(Just a few). I don't have any meal worms with me. She went to sleep again after eating. I fed her oats in the morning. She was egg bound because of which she started panting. I noticed it after a day and a half after coming from the vet. She managed to lay the egg by herself yesterday. As soon as she laid the egg she went to sleep. Is she sleeping because she is injured or is the reason something else?[/ICODE]

Does she have access to regular food? Cooked egg might be better then oats to give to her to eat, regular food would be even better. She is probably just tired

Okay will try cooked egg now. Will see. She has been sleeping the whole day today. I woke her up to feed some water. She wouldn't drink on her and fed some mashed oats paste with a syringe. Let's see. This one is like my favorite. I don't want anything bad to happen to her.

Do you have any gamebird feed or something like that?
