Injured Toe

I have a chick from our local feed store that has part of her toe descaled, brownish red, and occasionaly bleeding. It looks like it may have been caught in something at the feedstore. The problem is she keeps pecking at it and making it worse. Should i put something on it to prevent further problems?

Isolate her if she isn't already. The other chicks will pick at the wound.
I'd wrap it with a bandaid or something after washing... if the toe is dead it would be best to cut it off, I think... But I don't really know what to do here, so I hope someone else can chime in.
