Injury or Some Other Problem

I just noticed one of my 4-5 week old Bronze Turkey poults has what looks like a chunk taken out of the top of his beak! It looks reddish purple, not bleeding, maybe a little scabby.

Did it get in a fight with one of my other poults or is this some sort of deformity or disease? I have it separated from my other turkey poults right now.

I forgot to add that its beak doesn't close all the way either. It is making a lot of noise because I have it separated from the rest and is eating and drinking with no problems.

Anyone have any ideas on this?

The other poults have pecked it's beak. Over crowding is the main reason.

Poor guy. I wonder if you need to give it some antibiotics so it doesnt get infected. Any thoughts Steve?
