My moms boyfriend brought me this chicken saying he found his dog toying with It. There's patches everywhere we're the feathers are gone and the top layer of skin was ripped off. A bite mark on its shoulder and it looks like it was sliced in between the shoulder and the main body. The bottom of the tail look clawed up, and I just found these strange yellow bubble ball thugs on its chest. Infection? Some disease? I think it's a part where several layers of skin is missing and the yellow is the fat.

Clean out all wounds, I use saline solution and a syringe without the needle on it to fluch areas. Then get some triple antibiotic ointment on areas, you can also use Vetericyn wound spray. Id also start the bird on a broad spectrum antibiotic for infection...PenG or Tylan from Tractor Supply. I'm not sure by the photo but it does look like exposed fat.

I would get some chlorhexidene or Hibiclens wound cleanser and give her a warm soak to clean any wounds. You could also rinse her off in the sink with a sprayer and some Dawn or similar. Triple antibiotic ointment or plain neosporin, or the Vetericyn wound spray are good for treatment afterward. Get her eating some chicken layer feed and give a little chopped egg for extra protein. Drinking water is very important now. Keep her away from flies since maggot infestation is very common in wounds during warm weather. Unless internal damage was done, she hopefully will heal in a couple of weeks as the wounds close. Chickens are amazing at healing when injured this way.

Thank you thank you thank you. I'll keep her inside for now since there's a lot of flies outside right now. I actually think I have some hibiclens.

I was just putting her up after cleaning her wounds and noticed she was weak. I placed her in the dog kennel I had set up and she had what I would describe as a stroke, and died seconds later. I'd already grown attached to her in the mere day she was here, and she's will Be missed.
