Injury?

Hello,

When I went out to check the chickens today, I noticed something strange with our rooster Cogburn's comb.

I have a couple of pictures and was wondering what you guys thought about it and of course whether I need to do anything.

I think it could be some early frostbite on his comb. Below is a picture of early frostbite to compare. I would avoid massaging the comb. Here is a good link on frostbite:
