Hi Folks:
I spent some time checking out my chicks today (looking for any bill, foot, or other issues). I have one chick (16 days old) that has a problem with the inner toe on both feet. The toe(s) don't appear to be broken. The chick doesn't seem to be in any pain. She seems to be eating well (in fact she is bigger than the average chick of the same age I have) and is active. The toes aren't just 'bent'. They seem to be 'rolled' slightly so that the very bottom of the toe is facing backwards and the chick 'walks' on what would be the side of the toe. The other toes on her feet seem to be fine. Should I be doing anything to help her? I assume its a genetic problem. Here are a couple of pics:
