Inside for bad weather?

So I live in NC and we are supposed to get this hurricane florence in a couple days. I live near charlotte, so we are expecting lots of rain and high winds. In this area, you never really know. It could be bad or hardly nothing.
My chickens don't seem to mind rain and storms. Their run is covered so they usually hang out in there when rains get heavy. I'm only concerned about high winds and debris. I considered just using tarps to block wind in the run on 3 sides and just let them be as usual.
What are the highest winds these lovelies can handle? Or for fear of falling trees, debri, etc should I just bring them inside and let them stay in the basement?

I'd play it by ear. Just leave things as they are for now and move on to plan 'B' if the stuff hits the fan. Good luck, and stay safe.

I would have the basement set up and ready. I can't imagine a coop surviving 130 mph winds. The wind itself, flying debris, trees and branches etc (and flooding?)

A tarp would be ripped to shreds fairly quickly so I wouldn't put that up. It would just be a waste of money. If you put anything up on the coop or run I would do metal roof panels or plywood just as you would do a window. That's my plan, if a hurricane heads our way. My coop is enclosed on 2 sides and fully open with hardware cloth on the other 2. If it looks like were gonna get hit I will put metal panels on the 2 open sides, probably just 2 on each side so its 6'. If youre able to put them in the basement I would do that this go around. I'm sure materials are scarce up there right now. And good luck, I got hit by Irma last year and Matthew the year before. Its always a fun little ride. The week or 2 of no power afterwards is the worst part.

Ok seems like indoors is the safest bet. I would be too sad if I took any chances and something happened to my sweet girls :hit
