Integrating 1 chick into existing flock

I have 10 mature backyard chickens (3 bantam 7 standard) and 2 roosters (1bantam) all in one happy flock. A broody mama hatch out 5 bantam chicks. I have someone who wants to take 4 of them. IS IT OK TO KEEP JUST 1 young chick stay or would it be better to keep another same aged partner for her. I'm mostly worried about her being safe, not picked on. (all 5 are already integrated but its just too many for our coop right now. )

I did this twice, just so the momma has a baby, she was happy and seemed to not notice the others were gone.

She'll continue to protect that one. It'll then grow up around the others and when the time comes for her to wean it, they'll all be used to each other and it should work out.
