Integrating ducks and chickens?

We have 3 chickens (2 RIRs and 1 white Leghorn) 5 weeks old and 2 Indian runner ducklings 2 weeks old. Eventually when the weather warms up and they are old enough we want to put them together in a run. Are they likely to get along with each other or should we keep them separated?

I would encourage you to integrate sooner rather than later! They are much more likely to get along if they get to know each other young than if you put them together when they're older. I don't know if you'd be keeping them together at night or not--there are some very interesting threads on that subject floating around.

They are getting acquainted. My husband (Geoff) cut a hole in the side of the box that they're in and we put it up against the cage the chickens are in. Now they can see each other but not peck.
