Hello, I am new at raising chickens so I'm asking all of my questions here

I have 4 3.5 month old chickens and just divided the coop and put 2 6 week old chicks in there. I built them their own tiny coop underneath the main coop and used chicken wire to keep them separated. I was told this is the best way to do it but I was not told for how long. What's a good (or standard) amount of time to wait before mixing the chickens?

I would let them get used to each other for at least 3 or 4 days, but a week or more wouldn't hurt if you can do it.

ditto above. I would also supervise them for a couple of freerange/ mingling sessions when you do decide to put them together. It is also recommended that the young ones be close in size and if the older ones are no longer cheeping that the younger have their adult voices as well before you integrate.

I think it is very important to make sure that there are two feeders as well as two waterers.

Otherwise, there is the risk that the older ones wont let the younger ones eat and drink.

Lot of perch space is good too.
