Interested in hatching Pea Fowl for myself.

sorry you lost your peacock , did the bob cat climb the tree to get it? my peas sometimes fly to a different tree at night so i figured they could see pretty good under a low light conditions so i never worried about them in trees, plus i have a pack of dogs here to take care of critters that don't belong here.

He jumped from the ground to a branch 10 ft up in air and then jumped another 5 ft and they both fell out of tree on ground then he wrestled him over bout 1/2 acre before he got him killed. Anyways that is what I saw from tracks. I just sat down and cried. I had worked so hard to get them started. The youngest peacock that I hatched this summer I wonder if it is male. I hope it is cause he is so tame. Then would be blessing to have a tame male. My other male(the one the bobcat got) just never would be tame. He was somewhat offish and awfully stubborn about not wanting to go to bed in houses. But my young one is not that way and goes to bed like he is suppose to so will probably be better anyways.
So that is why I asked if anyone had any eggs. I have like 8 banty hens setting and I could set one and see if they would hatch. I would even trade them for some turkey eggs if they wanted too. I have Blue Slate Turkeys laying some. 2 of my older girls decided it is time to lay and are laying some. Just a thought if anyone is interested. My turkeys are Blue Slate but I got little palm turkey mixed in and as time goes on we don't throw as many palm babies. I keep keeping blue slate and no palms trying to get more pure.
