Interesting behavior

Just get rid of your least favorite one and think about the other. I need a rooster for egg fertilization but I would gladly have none at all.

I have a hole in my thigh/butt cheek & favorite farm pants because I stupidly picked up a nippy cockerel and my friendly docile rooster leapt up to attack him. I stupidly tried to protect the cockerel and turned my back to the roo and took the blow.

I say stupidly because just a few days before I’d had a close call doing the same thing with the same birds. I’m not saying it’s a stupid thing to do if you don’t know how the birds will react. Maybe impulsively is a better adjective.

But I love my roosters. Most of them at least.
