I happened across this and thought it was interesting .

That is my dream barn that she is standing in. I know nothing whatsoever about these chickens, I have seen them and thier american decendants called a lot of things but never south american blue egg chicken. maybe this bird isnt related to those. Im not sure but I see a lot of people talking about blue eggs

It was a bird I have never seen befor. I thought national audubon society, how bad could this be? I wondered if they have a historic and rare breed preservation department and put her in charge of it.. Some breeds really are hard to find. I about gave up searching for decent australorps breeders. It was maddening.

There is an old guy from another country in there also who is a professor and he had some unbeleivable australorps, funny if you search australorps he doesnt come up, but I just happened across him by looking for something else.

It is definately an EE, not South American or Araucana by any means!

Oh boy, she is going to get some tongue wagging going on by the Amercuana/Araucana breeders!!!!!

Thats why I put it in here, wondered what they would think about it, I cant even spell amuracuna something, but arnt the ones from south america rumpless male and female? how little I know about these birds. the ones I have seen around at the shows I love , . My husband isnt crazy about any of them, Just my opnion , but I think they are by far one of the best looking birds at the shows. U always stop and admire them longer than any other bird. there is just something about them.

He said If I get a hangover and open my fridge and see a green egg, Im going to loose it.

As much as I like them he keeps saying P L E A S E do not bring one of those home, something about green eggs every time he sees those green eggs he just says BLUCK!
green eggs and ham sam I am.... even thou they won best in show at the show we just went to. . I told him they have nice blue eggs too, He could live with a pale blue egg, but the green ones gross him out....doesnt bother me a bit. If I cracked one and cooked it, Im sure he woudldnt knoe the difference.

I should do that to him some sunday after the guy gathering for feetball game and lots of beer.

I would LOVE to show some eggs out of them. But Im stuck with old boring light brown.
