Currently I have 8 almost 9wk old chicks....2-Sicilian Buttercups, 2 Salmon Faves, BO, black sex link, Buff Bramha, and a Black Langshan. They are in my new coop a 8x8 shed.

In the old coop I have 2 OEGB bantams, all of the chicks except for one buttercup are larger than the bantams. I also have one Australorp and one Bourbon Red turkey.

When do you think I could intergrate?? all the chickens will be moving to the new larger coop. Honestly, the only one i am worried about is the turkey. The Austr actually just ended a broody cycle and seems a bit maternal to the chicks, even though they are large. The bantams just don't show much interest....and I think they are the top hens. The turkey does pick on the other hens on occsssion, esp the Austr. She is the only one that has shown an interest in the chicks, I have the chicks in a pen outside so everyone can see each other during the say, but they are seperate. Turkey is vocal, and fluffs her feathers a bit and turns red when she comes over to see them.

Should I wait longer? Or do you think the higher number of chicks and the fact that they are already in place in the new coop will work to their advantage??

Thanks in advance!!!

At nine weeks I would think they are old/large enough to integrate into your flock. They will establish a new pecking order once ontegrated. The turkey is the one that concerns me but have seen them raised together.
