(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
My hubs and I have had game birds, silkies, and bantams a few years ago, but we'd moved into town. Now, we're back in the country and starting out on our new homestead.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
None, at the moment. Have a coop ready and mu hubs will be finishing up a run for them this weekend.
(3) What breeds do you have?

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
We'll be raising them for eggs, meat, and to sell.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
We're getting a few Dorper sheep, a couple of Kiko goats, and a LGD in April. Plus, we're starting our first garden in raised beds.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I'm a disabled, US Army Veteran and the homestead manager (aka, stay-at-home housewife) and my hubs is a delivery driver for a wine and liquor distributor. His job was most definitely on the Essential Jobs/Personnel list during the Covid-19 lock-downs!
We have two (very spoiled) house dogs (10 and 9 years old) who are basically our children.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I came across BYC.com while Googling a question about guineas.
