Hi! I'm BeasleyMommy, a frequent visitor, but new member. I'm a married mommy of four, and a Catholic homeschooler from Georgia. We have a dog, gerbils, fish, and, of course, chickens. We have 3 hens (no roos allowed) and 3 chicks. The hens are 1 Buff Orpington and 2 Ameracaunas (Easter Eggers?) They are about 7 1/2 months old and two have been laying almost daily for almost a month. The other Americauna has not yet, ad is smaller than the others, even though they are the same age. I feed them layer feed, oyster shells, assorted leftovers, and they free range in the yard. Is she a late bloomer or is there a problem? Her comb is smaller and less red, also, if that gives any more info. Thanks for any advice!

Welcome to BYC. EE's are normally late bloomers. Keep in mind that decreasing daylight due to the onset of winter will slow down egg production as well.
