When chickens first laying double yolks are not uncommon. It's always a nice bonus!

was hoping it would continue permanently,we get one a day for the past six weeks or so.

Hello there, and welcome to Backyard Chickens! Yes, the double yolks will most likely end when a young hen starts laying, her body is changing and sometimes do odd things, her hormones will level out and she will be laying normal eggs soon. I hope you enjoy BYC!
