In the process of buying acreage and intend to have chickens. Grew up on a dairy farm but have been a city girl for many years. Looking to escape the madness and get back to my roots. Plan to have a few goats and maybe a couple of cows. Excited and a little terrified, because I'm not young!

Hello and welcome to BYC. I'd say as sense of excitement and terror must be quite thrilling and getting back into farming sure beats the pants off going on a rollercoaster :)

You'll find lots of info in the Learning Centre - https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/category/learning-center.11/ and if you have a specific topic in mind, just type it in the search box - there's a wealth of information on past and present threads.

Each week, various topics are discussed, which can also be a great resource - https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/topic-of-the-week-thread-archive
