Hi all!

My name is Candace and while I'm not new to chickens I'm new to raising chicks - we recently started our flock with 8 little fluffy butts :) I've grown up riding horses and in barns, so it's exciting to be able to begin adding farm animals to our property here in New Hampshire.

BYC has been a huge source of information for me, so I decided to take the plunge and join when I found myself with hatchling questions 2 days into our chick delivery...with many more to come I'm sure.

Looking forward to getting to know you all!

We had a hard time deciding on breeds so we started with one of each of numerous breeds - Speckled Sussex, Golden Laced Wyandotte, Partridge Rock, Australorp, Barred Rock, Light Bantam, Buff Orpington, and New Hampshire. As we build our flock the plan is to add more of the breeds that have really stood out to us!
