Hi,
We have been raising chickens for about 25 years both in Vermont USA and most recently the last 3 months here in New Zealand. We have been living in New Zealand for the past 8 years. We live on a lifestyle block and have 2 rescue cats 3 years old (outdoor and indoor kitties they have their own door) and 2 pigs.
We have 4 brown shavers who are laying 4 eggs a day. Love raising chickens and having fresh eggs every day especially now that the price of a dozen eggs in over $10.00 sometimes $13.00. Last Feb 2023 I began training a relief milker for my neighbor's 138 dairy cows. I work part time at a campground as a receptionist and love to garden. I literally stumbled upon this website while looking for ways to keep my one chicken getting out of an electric fence clipped its one wing and she still
