(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? No, I got chickens about 15+ yrs ago
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 0, we got out of chickens and had.to take a break from animals to care for my grandparents till they passed away. We are wanting to get back into coturnix soon.
(3) What breeds do you have? 4 emden geese
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Watching my young boys care and be rewarded with eggs and incubating and rasing chicks.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? I spin wool when I have time.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I have two late in life sons, we have 4 geese and a farm dog. I'm a pet groomer. We had to take a break from animals and.focud on end of life care.for my grandparents. They left my son's their home and the 40 acres it sits on.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I think I found this place from a Google search originally, looking for a quail color calculator. I don't think I've joined before this under a different name. Alot has happened in the last 2 years. I've known about this site for a while reading topics that were of interest. And what made me join, was I have no more responsibilities and restrictions of what I want to get back into with the boys. They want the "little chickens" I really want to learn color genetics in coturnix. I was a Siamese breeder for a long while before I met the boys dad. I love color genetics.
