I have 7, 7 week old chicks. Is it okay to introduce them to an older flock or would it be better to have them stay in a separate place? They have never seen each other before and i don't want the older chickens to bully the little ones. If it is possible for them to stay together, how?

Welcome to BYC.

Welcome to BYC! I wouldn't put them together until the chicks grow up to be a similar size. You can separate them using wire so they can slowly get used to each other first. Good luck to you!

As liz said here, you will need to wait until they are of similar size to the rest of the flock before mixing. Here is a good article about combining new birds. This is also written if you are mixing in new birds you purchased from somewhere else. But in your case, you need to read the last part on mixing in the younger birds....

Great to have you aboard and enjoy BYC!

Yes, I read that article. Thanks for the answers! I will probably just keep them separated.
