Heres the story i have a 6 year old red hen named shirley and her companion/friend (a ginne hen named willow) disapered a couple weeks back so shirley was all by her self i knowticed she was getting lonly and wouldnt come out of the coop into her run so i got her a freind a yearling pullet mille fleur. I kept the new hen in a seperate cage for the first 2 or 3 days then let them out together supurvised only, shirley will go up to the new hen and pull feathers out of her back and run her off but recently its gotten a little better they can be in the run together and be about 5 feet away from each other without incident but as soon as the new hen gets to close shirley will chase her away and try to get feathers or shirley will just go after her if shirley gets close enough to the new hen. The new hen dose not fight back im worried about them id love them to atleast get along :/ i try to have atleast 2 different watter/food sources for them so that the new hen will have access to them.
