Introducing a new rooster?

Is it possible to introduce a new rooster to a flock? My flock currently has one rooster and 20 hens. I'd like to have another rooster for fertility reasons but will it cause issues? I've already got the rooster but he is in a separate pen right now.

The two roosters most likely will fight and it'll be bloody, possible injuries. If they were raised together as chicks, I'd say it would be ok. It might be better to put some hens in with the rooster you have seperated so that he'll have his own hens.

If they are adults and about the same age or size there will be a figth, ALWAYS. And this figth is always going to be bloody. If you want an adult roo to accept another in a nice mood, the best way I see is to put the newone as a chick. The old roo almost always accept the new without problem.

Thanks everyone. The new rooster is definitely aggressive so we aren't going to keep him. When we put them out there together the old rooster (who is the sweetest passive rooster ever) didn't care as long as the other rooster left him alone but the other rooster wanted to attack. We are going to rehome him and try introducing a chick.
