I got fertilized chicken eggs for Christmas. Only one hatched out thankfully. My thoughtful husband went for beauty not egg laying, friendliness or lack of aggression. Bobby,a girl, is 5 weeks old and she is in our house till the spring when he builds the coop. Everyone loves her. She definitely has aggressive tendencies and attacks first and holds her ground. She is good with people unless they have on red nail polish like me. Unfortunately she is a Brunner roundhead. That’s right the only thing That is talked about online is cock fighting and show. I ordered some Rhode Island Red eggs and they will hatch out this week. We live in an area where no one raises chickens so I only want 2. My brother will take the extra and give them to farm by him.
My question is this, once the new chicks get big enough will they be able to live with Bobby the alpha Chicken?
