Introducing Bantam Rooster and Hen to Flock

Hi! I’m getting a White Crested Black Polish rooster soon who is fully grown and very sweet. I’m also getting his girlfriend, a bantam black hen(not sure what breed, maybe Serama), who is very sweet. I want to integrate them into my flock of 16 standard sized hens. I don’t have a rooster currently. How do I make sure they all get along well? I’m also worried about the hens picking on the rooster’s head feathers. Will the bantam hen be on the bottom of the pecking order? Thanks in advance!

Monitor closely as the bantam will become a target, and the rooster will be challenged by the dominant hens. I would acclimate the new birds to their own area and then over a significant period of time (days not hours) introduce the large fowl hens to them one at a time.
