Hello,

We've had a broody who has been raising 3 chicks (they're around 3 weeks). I'm wondering how to introduce them back to the flock, which is only one Shetland hen.

The broody is a Buff Sussex so much larger, and we are hoping she will be able to protect the chicks and integrate them herself.

What is the best way to do this?
Or should we separate chicks and mum in a few weeks and introduce them when they are at POL?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Do it now...I put my hen and Chicks back into the coop and Momma always protects them..I let them all get used to the Chicks and then allow them to free range...I have had zero issues...Momma always chases the other hens out if the coop to the run...My Rooster loves Chicks and always tidbits for them....Dont wait till momma weans them...They need her to integrate them....
