Introducing cockerel

My 8 girls are approx 11 -15 wks. I am considering doing conservancy for one of the breeds(either Buckeye or Partridge Rock). Is there advantage to intro of cockerel after girls are starting to lay or not..?
I hear so many stories of roosters mounting newly established hen and creating havoc...not sure if there is an advantage to having 'wiser hens' to deal with a young roosters hormones.

There shouldn't be any issue with integrating a new cockerel into the pen. The hens will put the cockerel in his place several times so he knows who is the boss, but you need to watch out for the more aggressive hens who want to beat up the cockerel.

I plan on getting 2 more pullets at the same time ..so 3 total.
