So we have 2 5.5wk old Pekin and 2 5.5wk old Rouens. They are big birds lol Well....we brought home 2 1wk old Pekin/Ancona mixes. Obviously I have a separate house set up for the new babies. But I was sitting on the porch with the babies (who are very vocal), and my husband let out the older 4 and all 4 ran over and were trying their darndest to get the littles, and NOT in a sweet way. Is this normal behavior for ducks or have I raised douchebag ducks??? Will time and growth of the new ones help with introducing later? I just have no idea as these are our first 6 ducks. Thanks for any input or info.

Yes, it will take time in look no touch pens for a few weeks or until the older ones are not scared of the little ones.
Were the older ones vibrating and trying to bite them?..That's normal.

Idk about vibrating, but there wad definite biting attempted. The older ones have gotten standoffish to me unless I have something they want so when they came running to me I covered the babies with my hands and they were climbing on me pecking my hands like an angry duck gang! Lol

Look no touch pens so they can meet without injury or You being involved..
