I have a rescue Canada goose who has sat on 8 eggs . . . 4 infertile of her own and 4 Embden eggs. 3 of the Embdens hatched last night and I think the 4th was a dud. Throughout the sit, our lavender male muscovy has helped out on the nest and stood guard. He is now sidelined as the white rescue goose who we got to be a friend for the Canada has turned from 'completely disinterested' to 'second parent'

. Problem is white goose is now sitting on remaining eggs which we have let him/her do because it meant the 3 goslings could stay with Canada. As it happens, I have some duck eggs pipped and about to hatch in the incubator. Should I put these under white goose to give him/her something to do? The white goose appeared to be female, but did try to tread the Canada and is now being quite aggressive towards anyone near the nest
