Introducing my backyard flock!!

After a month of working on the coop, I went to the farm yesterday and got my 4 pullets!!! They are 3 months old. My very first flock!

The girls:

Helen (a barred rock)
Ginger (Rhode Island red)
Betty (wheaten Ameraucana or easter egger, not sure)
Shirley (brown ameraucana)

We are in Garner, NC

Thanks everyone!
I'm so excited! The girls are getting used to their new home... The only problem I have is that they won't come out of the coop unless I'm around. They won't even go in the run! Now, if they see me there, they come out and roam around. They scratch, check out the place, etc. But as soon as I leave, they go back in.

What can I do? Is it just a matter of time until they come out?

It can take a few weeks for new birds to adjust to their surroundings. Especially being so young. Give them some time and pretty soon you won't be able to get them back in! LOL Don't push them too much yet. They will go at their own pace. Spend time with them outside so that they know it is safe to be there. Enjoy your new babies!
