Introducing my chicks to my lone (and bratty!) hen

Hi! I had two hens who were buddies. One passed away so in an attempt to keep my Cinderella not lonely, I went to get another hen. Unfortunately, I do not live in an area with many chickens and had to buy 2 week old chicks. They are in separate cages but are able to see each other.

My question is:

How is this introduction going to go once I put them in with my hen?

How old until I'm able to put them together?

My hen is spoiled and loves people and so far, if she is in the same open area as the babies, she tries to attack them. Yikes! Will I need to seperate them forever?

I may have made a mistake in the kinds of breeds as well: hen is an Easter egger and the babies are a polish crested and a brahma.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

You should be able to put the chicks together now, although I would supervise. They need to be adult size before trying to put them with your adult hen. Lots more info here:
