(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I have had chickens for about 4 years now. I first got chickens in 2015
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I currently have 11 hens and 1 rooster
(3) What breeds do you have?
I have a black jersey giant, grey jersey giant, light Brahma, dark Brahma, welsummer, 2 Easter eggers, Mille fleur d’Uccle (frizzled) hen and (nonfrizzled) rooster, gold necked d’Uccle, frizzled serama, and a pavlovskaya
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love watching my hens and finding out their individual personalities and of course getting beautiful fresh eggs from them. I also love hatching eggs!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
DIY renovations on my house, gardening, hiking, drawing, reading
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to let people know:
I also have a dog and two cats and a handy husband
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I came across BYC when I was looking for some information about my newly acquired chicks. I decided to join so I could share what I have learned and of course show off pics of my flock
