Hey Everyone! Posting my official into here 
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
No - My husband and I had chickens for several years when we lived out in the country. We raised and hatched our mutt flocks for a long time. We got out of it when our lives got a bit busier. We recently moved to the city, and luckily, they have a "backyard chicken" program that allows us to have chickens again. NOw we're back in the chicken game with "city chickens"
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Seven!
(3) What breeds do you have?
We have an olive egger frizzle, two "super chocolate" layer (MPC special breed mix), a buff brahma, a mystery blue frizzle, a barred rock, and a naked neck.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
chickens are full of fun and personality. Fresh eggs are pretty cool, too.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I dabble in all sorts of crafting (soap, fiber arts, painting, you name it), sourdough and bread baking, Star Trek, and whatever crazy ideas my kids throw at me.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have a husband and two kids, two cats, and a bearded dragon. Im an environmental scientist, bone collector, and actively checking squares off my endangered species bingo card. I live in Florida, and love every second of being a Floridian.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I have been lurking the halls of BYC for years. Never joined/posted until now... Taking to the internet to hopefully get some help sexing two of my chickens.
