Hello, my name is Carley. I live in Louisiana and am new to owning chickens. I'm so excited to be part of this group, I've learned a lot from this group in the short 3 months I have had chickens.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I have had chickens for about 3 months now!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have 8
(3) What breeds do you have?
Rhode Island Reds
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Gathering eggs daily. Watching them free range and forage in the yard. Spending time with them, they are so sweet. I never thought I could love chickens so much!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I love being outdoors, traveling, reading, shopping and learning new things!
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My family loves animals. Throughout my life we have had, cats, dogs, fish, parrots, hamsters, hermit crabs, goats, and chickens!
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I have not had chickens for long, and I have already had so many questions. Google seems to love sending me to this website for answers, so why not join??
