Hi everyone! I realized that I had never gotten around to introducing myself. I've always thought message boards feel so strange, because you spend so much time talking to someone, but never really know who they are. So here is a little about me: I've lived in Washington my whole life, except for two months in Texas. I'm from a small town of 60 thousand, which is about 3 hours from Seattle. I live on 5 acres, and have tons of animals including around 50 chickens. I have 94 chicks arriving in a few days and I'm really exited! My chickens are my pets, but my dogs are my children, so here are a few pics of me with my dogs. Sorry I have no pics of me with my chickens, because I can't find anyone who wants to go all the way out to my chicken coop with me. Hope you enjoy!

This is me with Muggs the Pug and Chubby, also known as Shorty the Corgi. Muggs died tragically right before Christmas of 05.

This is my new Pug, Luke. This is the first time I ever saw him at the Seattle airport, in January of 06.

Hi BigWRanch!!

It's wonderful to see your pictures! Sadly I don't have a camera yet but I will one day!
You're dogs are beautiful. My dogs are my children too. My Rotweiller, Stone, passed away after christmas (Stabs the gut every time) and I offer you much sympathy on your loss. I also have a pitbull I rescued from the shelter. Your new baby is amazing! What joy! Eventually I want to have a chihuahua, but I'm not sure if such a breed will get along with the chickens! Everyone has a seperate yard though. I won't get a new dog untill Dylan is no longer with me. He's enjoying being the center of attention now (he's 14) and I would never want him to feel bad. Where did you get your pug From?

Sympathies... I lost my cat of 14 years, my dog of 13 years, my hen of 1 year and biggest of all my grandmother all in the space of two months. Really brings home the need to cherish everyone and everything. I still cry at the drop of a hat though. Still, I go out and hang with my chickens and thier ability to cheer me never stops amazing me!

Well the first time I got a dog it died of a hereditary illness at the age of 4 1/2, so a month later I got my pug, and then at 4 1/2 he drowned in my pond. You always think you'll have 10-18 years with your dog, but things never go the way they should. They only thing I can say is cherish them while they are here!

Sorry for the losses of your pets. I still have pics of my "growing up" dog, Lightning...He died at 13 of Prostate cancer.

We get alot of the toy breeds at the store. We even had a pair of Puggles. One looked more like the Pug and was cuter and the other looked more like the Beagle. I love Poms and Pekes but if I could get any dog in the world it would be a French Bulldog. They're just such characters.
