I have 4 chanticleer/Brahma mixed chickens. They are 4 months old. my friend had to many and needed to get rid of some so i said i would take them. he gave me 4 chickens two of them are Rhode island red and the other two I'm not sure but they are pure white. they are a month old. yesterday i let them all run around in the run but Salt who i think is a rooster is chasing them all around and pecking there necks and trying to grab them by the necks. so at night i put the four little ones into the coop and they all were still alive when i went in and nobody was chasing them around which was good. i left them in there the four big ones went outside but the four little ones don't know how to go outside should i just leave them in the coop? they have food and water, but will one of the big ones chase them around inside the coop? the chicks and pullets size different is actually very drastic what do u suggest i do?

The size difference is a warning flag. If they are still together and alive, most of the worst may be over. At this point give them hiding spots in the coop and broken lines of sight. So the little ones get away if need be. And just leave the little ones find their own way out.

ditto what Den says. Also, if you are able, watch them as much as possible to see behaviors. If no blood is drawn, they are most likely being dominate. However, if the older, bigger ones are too rough, you may want to seperate them. If possible do this with some kind of screen or wire so that they can see eachother for a while, but not get to eachother until they are more accostomed to the newbies.
