introducing new chickens

i am going to a chicken auction to get more chickens. i'm hoping for a cochin, a new silkie, and a cochin or buff orp roo. when i got my first rooster he took charge protecting his hens right as he entered the pen. i wish i could get another like him but he was a mixed breed. he died protecting his hens. will the new hens be bullied or will my hens think he came with the rooster.

If you don't quarantine then at least keep the new birds together for a few days first. best would be some place where they can see and interact through a wire with the old flock. If it was just a mature rooster, you could try to just add him. however you are adding more then the rooster. If he bonds with the new hens first then they will be a unit and it will offer the new hens some help integrating, while hes trying to integrate the old flock to him.
