introducing new chickens

We have had 1 hen for a while since the other hens died, (old age) we recently got 4 new RIR hens and within a couple of minutes after the were put together the new hens started picking on the old one, they won't let her eat or drink and they peck at her, our old one is afraid to do anything until we separate them. What can we do?

You need to keep them apart, but visible to each other until they get used to her. They all know each other, so she is really the outsider.
