I stopped by our local farm supy store... And they have CHICKS. These cuties will be added to the flock tomorrow night, after some minor coop modifications. I am hoping they will be adopted by one of my hens.

Very cute! What breed are these chicks?

Agree with @Chick-N-Fun though. Adult chickens may see these as intruders and may kill them. But, if you have a broody hen that has been broody for at least a couple of weeks, she may adopt them. We just brought home chicken on Thursday and introduced them to broody hen in her nest, late at night in the dark. She adopted them! But our broody is in a brooder box in the barn, and not in the coop.

Good luck!

Cute chicks! :love Be prepared with a plan B....Your older flock will more than likely unhappily accept those babies and try to hurt/kill them.
Do you have a broody hen?
Unfortunately no broody hens here. They didn't take tonight, but I am going to try again tomorrow afternoon. I am going to make a mama heating pad up just in case as well. I can cordon off part of the coop and give them a see/no touch space if needed, but that isn't my first choice.

I am going to try and introduce to a sweet hen tomorrow afternoon & see what happens. I will also have a mama heating pad handy incase that doesn't work. I can keep them in a separated see/no touch space for a few weeks, but not my first choice.
They are buff orpingtons. So Fluffy! :love
