I will definitely have to get Royal Palms! How sweet...it is so cute when they fall asleep in your lap haha. Thank you guys for your advice!Sorry to hear about the little guy! He was super cute. I'm just jumping in to second the motion on Royal Palms! With my limited poultry experience, my palms are some of my favourite personalities! My Jake's are attentive and friendly and the Jenny's are just so sweet. Two of them will come in for hugs when I sit down in the coop with them and if I don't get up in time they WILL fall asleep on my lap, I've converted cat law to turkey law.
My guys are only 11 weeks now but their feathering is strikingly beautiful!!
Wow, 60 pounds?!? Thats amazing! Do you have any pictures?Well, theyre not really little birds. I had a male when we butched that was 60+ lbs after but ch er and without his wings
Probably a hybrid meat breed, meant to be processed sooner rather than later.I dont, it was my second year in 4H so a long time ago. But we also didn't know about meat birds a lot. We were just told to 'make him as big as you can before fair and let him eat as much as he wants and to not let him excerise it all off'.
