Hi,
I am a backyard hobby chicken farmer! I have had chickens off and on for the last 30 or so years. Last summer two stray dogs killed my entire flock of 20 silkie and other mixed breed chickens so we started over with Orpingtons: Jubilee, Buff, and Lavender, hoping to build up to small flocks of each color. My daughter has added some Cuckoo Maren and Americauna hatchery chicks to our expanding flock so we have a kaleidoscope of colors on the farm. I'm looking forward to the mix of egg colors when all of these babies grow up.
I recently purchased two incubators off of an online auction that were much larger then they looked in the pictures an am wondering where I can get information on them. The first is a Phoenix 4001 and appears to be set up for much larger eggs, Emu or Ostrich eggs. Is anyone familiar with this type of incubator? It may need to be rehomed as I will never have that many eggs to hatch. The second is a Lyon brand (I think because there are no tags or brand name on the incubator) and is also probably too large for my little operation. I am hoping someone on here can tell me what I have.
Thanks,
Echobeamer
