Hi everyone! I’m a new chicken mama, and have found this site to be very helpful as we’ve been getting started. We live in Salt Lake City, Utah, which tied for all time record high last week of 107 degrees! I have been loving all the tips to keep our girls cool.
We have four 8-week old chickens in our urban backyard farm. A barred rock, Rhode Island Red, golden sexlink, and a lavender Orpington. Hopefully all are pulle, but I’m a little skeptical of the lavender one as she/he holds their tail much more upright than the others. We are totally loving them all and watching their little personalities emerge.
